Help - Registration

To register for my account online simply enter your npower account number and npower contract number. You will be able to find these on one of your recent invoices.

Note: This service is currently only available for our larger business electricity customers. You are not eligible to use this service if you are a gas customer or if your account number starts with 79. Check the pages on for news about our online services for your type of account.

If you have a number of power accounts with npower or your account is a group you only need enter the numbers for one of your accounts. It does not matter which account you choose as long as it is from a recent invoice.We will do the rest and register all of your accounts for my account online.

When you click submit we will check that you have given us a valid account and contract number. You can then go on to enter your details so that we can complete your registration for my account online. Enter your

  1. Name
  2. Telephone numbers
  3. E-mail address
  4. Username – you will need this to login.  Enter a username that is between 5 and 20 characters in length and only contains letters or numbers.  Choose carefully as this cannot be changed once you have submitted the page
  5. Password – you will need this to login.  Choose a password that complies with our password rules:
    • Minimum 7 characters in length
    • Maximum 20 characters in length
    • A mix of letters and numbers
    • No special characters or symbols (such as *, ?, #)
    • You cannot use your name or my account online username
    • You cannot use certain obvious words or terms such as ‘password’, ‘qwerty’, ‘electricity’ or ‘npower’
  6. Terms and conditions - before your registration can continue you need to read our website terms and conditions and then confirm your agreement.
  7. Registration for my account online should only be done by a member of an organisation who is authorised to access the account information.  Check the box to confirm you are authorised to do this.

When you submit the page we will validate the information you have given us.  We may contact you if we need some further details.  When your registration has been authorised we will send you an e-mail to tell you your account is active and ready to use.  You can then login to my account online using your username and password.

Your account will usually be ready shortly after you submit your registration (if it is on a normal working day).  It may take a little longer if we need to check any of your details or need to contact you.  If you experience a delay you can contact us by e-mail to my account online  or telephone your account executive or customer services on 0845 070 9494 .
